Bridging the Gap

Last summer ABC gave us a mission for their hit series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..   We were to create a social content campaign that maintained fan awareness and engagement bridging a lengthy 9-month gap between the finale of season five and the premiere of season six.

With assets limited to video from the first five seasons, we scrubbed more than 5,000 minutes of episodic footage and conceived an exciting social content campaign that celebrated the incredible characters, the best storylines and fan-favorite moments.   

Over 60 pieces of unique, platform-specific material were created weekly for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Video Mash-Ups

To amplify specific themes and memorable moments from the series, we created a variety of social videos that focused on diverse subject material.

For example,  Mack, a fan favorite character, loves all things pop-culture.  He drops incredible reference bomb after reference bomb each and every episode.   We decided to feature these nuggets with a video mash-up title Pop-Culture Moments with Mack!

A Calendar Of Inspired Events

Taking our cue from quirky national holidays, cast birthdays and unique world events, original content was created to draft off the social popularity of these socially trending moments & dates.   

During National Robotics Week, we showcased Aida the robot,
an all-time fan favorite villain with her own video montage!  

Engaging content was also created for Ugly Sweater Day, National Sunglasses Day & Fight Like A Girl Day, where we showcased our favorite females from S.H.I.E.L.D, kicking @ss!

Appreciate The Past, Celebrate Today!  / Steranko Motion Posters

Inspired by legendary comic book artist and designer Jim Steranko, a series of iconic motion posters was created celebrating some of our favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.  A penultimate tip of the cap to the comic book roots of the series, these posters honored the past, present, and future of ABC’s hit series.

Facebook 3D Photos

We're always looking for fun ways to turn ordinary content into extraordinary fan engagements.  By leveraging Facebook's 3D photos, we were able to create dynamic character posters that literally popped off the page!   The futuristic high tech design coupled with the 3D depth of field matched the look and tone of the series beautifully.   Each piece of content featured a hero image and a character-defining quote.  They were the perfect calling cards for our Top Secret High Tech Agents.
